Meet Dr. Jennifer Taschner
Dr. Jennifer Taschner was raised in Fort Myers, Florida and attended University of Florida where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She continued her education at University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. After earning her DDS degree, Dr. Taschner spent two years completing a General Practice Residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York serving as Chief Resident during her second year. Following her General Practice Residency, she practiced general dentistry for three years.
Dr. Taschner’s interest in the field of periodontology and implants grew and lead her to re-enter the academic world for specialty training. She completed her three-year post-doctoral periodontology training at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and received her Masters of Medical Science degree in 2008. Dr. Taschner practiced as a periodontist in Boston before returning to Fort Myers to join her father, Dr. Ronny Taschner. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Jennifer Taschner practices exclusively in Fort Myers, Florida and focuses on all aspects of periodontal therapy and dental implants including diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, periodontal plastic surgery, bone regeneration and placement of dental implants. She takes pride in helping her patients restore their oral health in a warm and caring environment. Dr. Taschner communicates and works closely with general dentists and other dental specialists in order to provide continuity of care and successful treatment for her patients.
Dr. Taschner has several interests outside of periodontology including cooking, nutrition and fitness, running and reading.
