Meet Lindsey Vander zalm, DMD

Dr. Vander zalm graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where she distinguished herself through academic excellence and a strong commitment to patient care. Dr. Vander zalm went on to complete her Periodontics and Dental Implant Residency at the University of Pittsburgh, gaining advanced training in surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy, oral medicine, soft and hard tissue grafting, dental implant placement and interdisciplinary care.

She specifically enjoys helping patients feel at ease following her own experiences as a dental patient after a traumatic bicycle accident while studying at University of Florida.

Dr. Vander zalm brings a unique perspective to her practice, shaped by her own experiences as a dental patient. While studying at the University of Florida, she was involved in a traumatic bicycle accident that required extensive dental treatment. This firsthand experience has instilled in her a deep empathy for patients’ concerns and anxieties, allowing her to help them feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. Dr. Vander zalm understands the patient’s perspective when undergoing surgical and dental implant procedures.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Vander zalm enjoys going to the beach, cycling, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Vander Zalm’s expertise, enthusiasm, and empathy make her an integral part of the Taschner Periodontics team. She is dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients and serving as a trusted resource for referring offices throughout the Lee County area.
