Dr. Ronny S Taschner was born in Philadelphia, PA. He attended Pennsylvania State University majoring in biology. Following his undergraduate education, he attended Temple University School of Dentistry.
After earning his DDS degree, Dr. Taschner completed his residency in periodontology at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Dr. Taschner served as the Chief of the Department of Periodontology in the United States Air Force at Minot Air Force base before starting his periodontal practice in 1975.
He is guest lecturer at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine and had lectured at both state and local dental society meetings. Dr. Taschner retired from clinical practice in April 2026 and now serves as Clinical Advisor at Taschner Periodontics.

Dr. Taschner’s distinguished career has been dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, dental implants and periodontal plastic surgery. Throughout his practice, he developed a special passion for helping patients restore and maintain their ability to smile, eat, and speak comfortably and confidently. Always working closely with each patient’s general dentist to deliver collaborative, personalized care.
Having completed thousands of hours of accredited continuing education and advanced training in periodontics and implantology, Dr. Taschner brings a depth of expertise that continues to benefit our practice. He now serves as a Clinical Advisor, sharing his knowledge and experience with our team to ensure the highest standards of patient care are upheld.
As a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and mentor, Dr. Taschner has many interests outside of Periodontolgy. He enjoys being with his family as well as skiing, hiking, fishing, biking, music, photography, and travel.
